  • Cedar Park Fire Fighters Wearing Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
    Updated On: Oct 18, 2016

The Cedar Park Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 4233 (CPPFFA), is doing its part to bring attention to breast cancer.  Throughout the month of October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month - our members, Cedar Park Fire Fighters, will be wearing pink on-duty as part of a nationwide campaign supporting women in their fight against cancer.

Cedar Park Fire Fighters will be wearing navy blue T-shirts with pink emblems to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to BreastCancer.org, 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Statistics show nearly 246,660 new cases of breast cancer and about 40,450 deaths are expected this year.

Be on the lookout around your neighborhood for your local fire fighters wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
